Each week of the CSA season, our members receive a box full of fresh, seasonal vegetables grown right here at Hat & Heart Farm. In addition, Hat & Heart Farm proudly partners with several local farms and businesses to expand the range of offerings available for delivery with your weekly share of vegetables and eggs. These optional add-ons provide your family with high quality products while supporting the local economy. The best part? We’re keeping your life simple. Your customized order is delivered with your box of vegetables each week, keeping your errand list short and sweet. Each week, select your add-ons in the web store by Tuesday at noon, and we’ll take care of the rest for pick-up on Friday.

How it works

Typical CSA's require a season subscription and usually some type of upfront or automatic payment. Our "CSA" was born out of the coronavirus pandemic (very a-typical) so our farm fresh box program is also not typical. Every week is a new week. These are unusual times and we understand that customers may want to order every single week (thank you to those that do!), or every other week, or buy one once in a while for yourself or as a gift to someone in need. 

Every week we send out an email on Mondays with a list of what we are harvesting each week and any other newsworthy notes. Customers have until Tuesday noon to place their order on our Shop tab. We do not ship boxes. All boxes must be picked up in-person at one of our pick-up locations on Friday of that week. Your order will be available for pick-up at the location of your choice (you will comment on your order form before payment so we know where to send your box).


Anyone can pick-up for you. If you are unable to collect your box or send someone to do so in the designated pick-up window and we do not hear from you, your box will be donated to the local food bank.

In case of unforeseen events. Nature is unpredictable, and there are times when our field needs a break. In cases of severe weather or pest plagues, we reserve the right to cut back on available boxes, delay delivery, skip a week’s delivery, or halt a CSA season entirely. We put the land first so that our family and the ecosystem we live in has a long-lived, sustainable future. You can rest assured, however, that we’ll never ask you to pay for a box that we can’t deliver. We'll keep you in the loop.


In every aspect of our business, we strive for more sustainability. Now, with your help, we’d like to extend that effort

to the cardboard delivery boxes we use each week.

Our members are invited to return their clean, empty Hat & Heart Farm Fresh boxes to us for reuse or recycling each week.

Boxes sturdy enough for reuse will be disinfected and used following week, and damaged boxes will be

returned to the earth in the form of compost or mulch in the fields.

There are two ways you can help. When you pick up your share, (1) transfer your share to your own box or bag,

leaving the cardboard box behind, or (2) bring the box back with you the following week.
